As a part of the Mendocino Film Festival, the Larry Spring Museum & Video Hoarder present TAPES FROM BEYOND. Join us for an evening of mind-melting cinema as we explore the strange and wonderful world of rare VHS tapes! We begin with the long-lost fantasy adventure film “Liquid Cork” and the recently completed experimental sci-fi short “Shitty Aliens”. The evening concludes with the epic mad science Kaiju classic “Frankenstein Conquers the World.”
Lo-fi comedy adventure film "Liquid Cork" follows 4 young men who have the same dream in which a mysterious voice tells them to search for Wal-Mart. Director Tyler Baum will be in attendance!
Described as "Sun Ra meets Night of the Living Dead", "Shitty Aliens" is about 2 beings finding hope through melancholic dimensions. Director Daniel Florida will dial in from beyond.
