Larry Spring

Lorenz 'Larry' Spring (1915-2009) was a freethinker who dedicated much of his life to an alternative analysis of electromagnetic energy. Spring aspired to simplify the complex phenomena described by mathematical theory. “Let the Energy be your Teacher” was his common sense mantra.

Larry Spring's School of Common Sense Physics was where he shared his personalized studies through craft-making, the construction of hand-hewn demonstration models, and publications. He worked tirelessly until his death at age 94 to find acceptance for his primary discoveries Magnespheres and the Spring Atom

Heather Brown

Heather Brown (1955 - 2017) was a visual artist who had a lifelong fascination with Einstein. After a chance meeting, she and Larry Spring had many debates about beauty, imagination and the nature of the physical universe. Brown eventually became Spring’s creative director, and for well over a decade, she helped Spring clarify his discoveries. Under her leadership, Spring’s School was designated a Museum with the intention of preserving Spring’s legacy.

Anne Maureen McKeating discovered Larry Spring’s collection through long-time colleague Heather Brown. In 2009, Anne Maureen worked with Heather to organize the collection and establish the Museum after Larry’s passing. Fascinated by Larry’s learning and collecting practices, Anne Maureen eventually completed her Master’s in Environmental Studies with Larry Spring’s collection as her project. In 2017 she became Executive Director of the Museum.
